Pork, Apple & Black Pudding

Our classic pork pie topped with Bury black pudding and cooked Bramley apples.  This is one of our award winning pies.

For the filling, we use free range pork that's cut from the shoulder and the belly, along with a secret blend of herbs and spices.  Our srumptious, melt in the mouth hot water pastry is made in small batches using only the finest quality ingredients.   Once each pie has been baked and allowed to cool, a seasoned jelly is added.  This classic pork pie ingredient adds to the flavour and helps to keep the filling moist.

Each and every pie that leaves our bakery is hand pressed, hand filled and baked with care.

*Please note: the hot water pastry we make to create our award winning pork pies is much softer than the pastry found on traditional Melton Mowbray pork pies, or the pies that can be purchased from supermarkets.  We refer to our pork pies as 'butcher-style' pork pies.  The savoury jelly that we use to keep the pork meat succulent adds to the softeness of the pastry, which does increase over time.
